AWARDS:
Mens and Womens Best Powerlifting Awards
**Best lifter awards require at least 5 people in the category, therefore for example if there are only 3 mens equipped lifters there will be no best lifter mens equipped award

Medals for Mens and Womens Age/Weight Classes
**If you are not present to receive your award during the ceremony then you may have someone accept it on your behalf. It is not the duty of OneLife Fitness or the meet directors to mail out awards to recipients who are not present for the award ceremony. If you do not claim your award, then your award is forfeited.
BCPA MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION:
All lifters must be members of the CPU/BCPA to compete. All athletes must now obtain this membership prior to the registration. You will be required to upload a photo of your valid CPU membership in order to register for the meet. Athletes will also be asked to present their membership card at weigh-ins. Failure to provide proof of membership will result in disqualification. For CPU/BCPA membership, please visit https://bc-powerlifting.com/become-a-member/. Follow the steps provided on the website and print off your membership card from home or save a copy on your phone.

DRUG TESTING:
​
The CPU has adopted the CCES program fully and with that comes a new responsibility for ALL ATHLETES.

You will need to complete the True Sport CPU course here: https://cces.ca/cpu-e-learning.

Drug testing can and may be conducted at local level competitions including the 2023 BODYPERFORMANCE Spring Showdown.

VENUE DETAILS:
​
The competition will be held inside OneLife Fitness in Kelowna, BC. There will be 3 warm-up racks with pound plates available for warming up prior to the competition. The competition is free for spectators to attend and watch, all spectators must stay within the audience area. There is limited spectator space however we hope to be able to provide a livestream of the event as well. Only designated coaches, athletes and volunteers are allowed in the competition zones. Weigh-ins will not necessarily be in the order of lightest to heaviest. All lifters are expected to be at the venue 15 minutes prior to the start of weigh-ins. The weigh-in order and lot numbers will be posted near the weigh-in area. If you do not make the weight class specified on your entry sheet, you will be moved up or down a weight class but will lift in the same flight as originally posted.
